A new year has begun
I have to squint my eyes at the sun
The future seems so bright
hopefully, it will turn out right
There's so much for me to gain
now that I've learned to smile again
The rains had passed
I know our friendship would last
for better or worse, we never let go
Hands held together, it was not for show
I felt so blessed that you're all here
you've made my life easier to bear
time goes forward and life moves on
together, we all can right the wrongs
